ISO 9001: 2008 (QUALITY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM)
The QMS emphasizes the importance of a) understanding and meeting customer requirements, b) the need to consider processes in terms of added value, c) obtaining results of process performance and effectiveness, and 4) continual improvement process based on objective measurement.
The Quality policy (QSHE policy in case of TCTS) and quality objectives are established to provide a focus to direct the organisation. The QMS is that part of the management system that focuses on the achievement of results, in relation to the quality objectives, to satisfy the needs, expectations and requirements of key stakeholders. The Quality objectives complement other objectives of the organisation such as those related to growth, funding, etc.
TCTS differentiates its processes as Telecom Service Processes (TSP) and Internal Value Creation Processes (IVCP). TCTS undertook to certify these processes under the ISO 9001 standard to provide assurance to customers and management that processes are standardized, their performances measured, and are also subject to review on a regular basis to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Further, including both TSPs and IVCPs under a common management system provides opportunities for integration to provide a seamless flow of activities across the various functions of the organisation.
