- Can you tell us about the early days when you joined TCTS and what the setting was like?
When I joined the organization close to 20 years ago, it was in its nascent stage. I was the second employee at TCTS (erstwhile VGSL). Initially, I was responsible for information security and cybersecurity. Over time, I transitioned into handling projects, then moved into transition management, and eventually took on large technical projects. This experience helped me grow in a customer-friendly environment and work with multicultural teams. - How did your role evolve over the years, and what were some of the significant projects you handled?
Over the years I took on multiple roles which were specialized and customer-facing involving delivery, cybersecurity operations, transition, and transformation. One notable project was with a large tier 1 telco in Belgium, which marked the beginning of my international journey, I handled many significant projects going forward. - What factors helped you excel in specialized roles, and how did TCTS support your career growth?
Leadership guidance and staying updated with market trends were key. My managers provided great guidance, and I pursued certifications to stay ahead. This helped me grow. TCTS enables their employees. They supported me by sponsoring certifications and providing guidance during transition and transformation activities. Updated knowledge coupled with experience allowed me to advise customers effectively on their future strategies. They trusted and empowered me, which significantly boosted my career growth. - What stands out to you in your journey with TCTS, and why would you recommend someone to join the organization?
TCTS focuses on niche technologies that are crucial for the market today and tomorrow. The learning opportunities are immense for any graduate trainee. The organization offers excellent training and the chance to work with cross-functional teams. The leadership provides excellent guidance, which is beneficial for both personal and career growth. These have been particularly true in shaping my own career and can be for everyone joining TCTS.
