- What does your role involve, and what does a typical day at TCTS look like?
I’m a Senior Manager in HR, where I work as a Business Partner and Talent Manager. I spend my day collaborating on strategic initiatives, championing Diversity & Inclusion, promoting health and wellbeing, etc. I also work on creating engaging programs that support people in their growth journeys. Volunteering as well, is an important part of my routine. - What first drew you to volunteering and how has that evolved over time?
From helping in school to teaching underprivileged children during my college days, volunteering has been part of my life since childhood. Over time, it’s become a way for me to create meaningful impact and that purpose has only grown stronger at work! - How has TCTS supported and shaped your volunteering journey?
TCTS has given me the platform to turn passion into action, starting with simple activities like making birthday cards for children. Today, I’ve led multiple initiatives and received the Global Employee Volunteering Program award for clocking the highest volunteering hours; something that reflects how much TCTS encourages and supports community involvement. - Looking back, what volunteering experience stands out the most for you?
One of the most defining experiences was leading the Barter Challenge during DRIVE Week 2018, an annual TCTS initiative that celebrates community impact. Our goal was to collect essential supplies for school children, and we found ourselves navigating Delhi’s bustling local markets in the middle of heavy rain. It was challenging; at one point, I wasn’t sure we’d succeed. However, through persistence, teamwork, and a strong sense of community spirit, we not only completed the challenge but also created a meaningful impact for the kids who needed it most. - What motivates you to keep volunteering despite your demanding role in HR?
As someone who’s built many programs like the D&I, Drive2Fit, other engagement programs from scratch, volunteering feels like a natural extension of my purpose. The joy of giving back, inspiring others, and receiving the ‘One in a Million’ award at TCTS reminds me that even a few hours can create lasting change.
